Summer Road Trip Mission is underway.

 

Starting date - May 1, 2014

Final Sign-Up Date - May 10, 2014

Names will be randomly assigned - May 11, 2014

You may participate in as many Road Trips as you desire.

 

Mission details:

 

Required....

Select an unactivated geocoin to send to your assigned Road Trip Partner.

Select a postcard or pictures (note with a link url) that show the best features of your home geoarea.

..... (you could also post the link here in this thread so we can ALL see wonderful new places)

Select 5 to 10 of the best geocaches in your area that you would want visitors/vacationers to find and log.

 

Optional....

Select a geocoin to activate to send to your Road Trip Partner. That coin is to be placed in a cache somewhere in the recipients geocaching area.

If you receive a traveler, post the TB# in this thread and I will compile a list that I will maintain and update periodically after the Mission is complete.

When/if you send a traveler, please include an instruction//mission statement and place it in a small zip-baggie. Give it every opportunity to continue it's mission.

Let's see how many GEOCOIN travelers survive ... and for how long ... B)

Include a small trinket/souvenir from your area in your Road Trip packet.

This sounds great!

Unfortunately I won't be going on a road trip this summer, but I was on the road at Easter! Such a great time!

But I'd love to watch a trackable of mine to travel back to me, so I'll send an activated trackable as well as a mission coin!

Signing up, but need to let whoever gets my name know that I won't be getting any mail until the end of August, so I won't be able to acknowledge until much later that I received my mission. Hope that will be okay...if not, just take me out until the next mission!

Greetings fellow travelers!!!

Something that was suggested during Claire's Easter Mission was a hint

to help the senders choose Coins for their partners. Following is my hint!!!

 

"I LOVE COINS!!! Oh, guess you wanted a bit more specific!!! My favorites are astronomy/astrology,

new age, alien, Celtic, OWL, hedgehog, horse, dog, dragons, cars, motorcycles, colorful/glow.

The top on my wish list are Kealia's Well Rounded Cacher 81 Challenge Coin,

the Bell Witch Mystery and the Chthulu Mystery. I have hope...!!!

I enjoy surprises, too, and would be happy with any Coins I may receive for Missions!!!"

Also, add Egyptian to the list.

 

I'm sure everyone has a wish list, even the tough-to-shop-for Dr.Neal--- please post some hints!!!

 

Will post some travel plans shortly!!!

Hint, hint...

 

Sure love to receive a coin from my wishlist, but those are pretty much all VHTF.

I collect dragon themed coins, so if you by any chance have one of those lying around, they are more than welcome. As all of my coins are activated you can check my profile to see which ones I already own.

Like a raven, I also like glitter coins. Penguin themed and ancient coins are also more than welcome.

But of course I ultimately like geocoins in general, so I will be happy with whatever I might receive.

No, I did not contact Claire. I didn't think it was appropriate to add to her situation with 'mission' questions and requests.

 

Didn't forget her, just thought she might need the break and if she wanted to join this one, she has been on the forums. Hard to 'forget' when I kept moving the topic to the top of the list almost daily.

 

We will miss her, of course !!

Looks like Claire was not the only one to miss out. I have been gone on vacation to Wisconsin for the last 10 days so with limited internet, I did not see this until today- my first day back. It sounds like a great idea even if it was NevadaNicks idea! LOL Hope you all enjoy the fun. I did get to do 65 or so caches while gone and a couple of events on the way up and back! Saw some great caches in Rhinelander too.

I did want to remind whomever got me that I will not be getting my mail until the end of August, so I won't be able to acknowledge receipt until then.
