From August 14th to the 17th, on the beautiful city of Espinho, just 20 km from Oporto (European Best Destination for 2014).

The only bit of Portugal I've been to was Madeira and that was before caching, so if it wasn't for the dates I could well have been on a flight. Clashing with the world's first Giga was a very unlucky bit of timing, but I hope you all have an excellent event in the sun

I was fortunate enough to spend a few days in (O)Porto a few years back.

It is a fine place with a crumbly old city next to the River Douro, and it's slopes, home of Port(oh I love a vintage Tawny)and their accompanying Port warehouses along the river too.

I would thoroughly recommend a visit to the local event.
