Can't edit PQ along a route map.

What has happened to the edit a map ability when setting up a pocket query along a route? I've been doing this for years and once I had the route between city A and city B all I had to do was go to the associated route page, pick up start or end point or the route anywhere along the map and drag it to whatever back roads I was planning to travel. Now I can't seem to change the first route generated. Nothing will pick up. What am I missing? Is there a hidden edit button somewhere now?

This functionality is gone for the time being. When Google updated their API to version 3, it rendered obsolete (and inoperable) the many "hacks" that our developers had used to make editing a route possible. Until we have the time and resources to rebuild that functionality, you will have to create new routes to get your desired adjustments.

Thanks Moun10Bike and PHOOEY! I loved making routes along back roads. Now it appears I have to do it one teeny segment at a time.

I was working on a new route and I've just started another new one. Yes, I can edit it by moving the start end points and dragging the route but only on the first screen that comes up. Once I've started a pocket query and I click to go back to the associated route I can't edit anymore. I think you used to be able to go back and edit. So I just have to get my route fixed before I go onto set up the PQ. I can cope.

Creating a new route does not work either. I have been trying this afternoon with no success. All I can do on the map is magnify it with the "grabby hand". It is unfortunate that this option is no longer available. It will make for a very difficult trip planning

Interesting. I was just able to create one, change the endpoints, and modify the route...as long as it is all done before it is saved.

It isn't working for me, either. I tried with Firefox and IE, and neither of them are working. I use Windows 7. There are likely lots of potential conflicts with various anti-malware programs and other things. To be honest, I really dislike the new Google Maps. Why is it that companies have to change things that work well, just for the sake of change?

I made a new route just last night and moved things around all over onto different roads than it originally generated between the start and end point. You just have to do this BEFORE you do anything else. Once you click save route it's fixed. Until then, on the very first screen, you can grab the route and drag it just like before.

Do a route along the closest roads (if there are any) and ask for caches in a wide range from the road. You can go up to 10K/6.2 miles.

Routing information is only available if someone has taken to the time to create a route between two waypoints. There *are* some routes that follow navigable waterways but they're typically limited to larger ferry routes.

I see this issue still persists, eight months on. I just created a route, then created a PQ. And then I noticed a mistake in my route. Now I need to start all over again since I can't just make a small adjustment to the route.
