looking for gps

Recommended Posts

I am also new to geocaching , and from what I've seen and read it depends on a few things ,mainly the price , I have been using my iPhone 4 with the geocaching app, which is good until you lose the signal, I used the search facility here and searched the web ,and for me I am looking at getting a Garmin Dakota 10 or 20

I recommend the Magellan 310. Very geocache friendly we've been using our unit for three years and it works great. However I just bought myself the Magellan 510 and it is better in that the touchscreen is a great way to maneuver through screens. It also has a camera but is also much heavier than the 310. Our first was an earlier Garmin etrex which we didn't like so we just don't shop Garmin anymore, I bet they are better nowadays than our POJ. Anyway welcome to geocaching and enjoy!
