Can't download cache info

I am looking for a little help. When I try to download a cache from Geocaching.com and I try to send to my GPS I get a message that says `Garmin communicator plug in not detected`. If I click on the download link it tells me I already have the communicator already installed. Anyone have this problem and a solution.

Your problem is most likely caused by an update. You installed Internet Explorer 11.

(1) make sure that the add on is enabled.

(2)You will need to turn on compatibility mode.

(3) You may also be able to use Google Chrome to load up geocaches or Firefox.

 

I never have my computer set to automatically install updates. Some will give you a major problems till bugs are worked out.

You should set your computer to ask first.

All I know about this, is that it happened to my MIL on Friday. She called me to see if I could help her, and so we went through the process of trying to download a cache to her gps again. That time it worked. I have no idea what she did differently, if anything at all. I was sure glad, because I would have had no clue how to help.
