+Egnix
Are there any large caching events in North or South Carolina? I have friends in family there I would like to visit, and it would be great to attend a big caching event while I'm out there. Quote Link to comment
+Great Scott!
Look at the event calendar. On a geocaching.com web page, click on Community, then Events. Quote Link to comment
+Egnix
Look at the event calendar. On a geocaching.com web page, click on Community, then Events. As a fellow charter member (though I sadly never achieved the "charter member of the year" award), I know how to browse events in the calendar. However, I don't have a particular date in mind and I don't want to look at every single event and try to guess if it is a large event. A lot of areas have large annual events that could be easy to recommend to someone from out of state. For example, if someone asked the same question for Colorado, I would mention the annual 4x4 event. New Mexico has the Valencia Fun day and probably others; South Dakota has the Black Hills camping event (and probably others), etc. Quote Link to comment

Although I have been 'registered' on the site for a couple of years, I am just now 'learning my way around'.... Edited March 9, 2014 by Coast Guard Kiteman Quote Link to comment

Coast Guard Kiteman
Dave, I posted a question for you a few minutes ago in another thread regarding trouble I had trying to register on the NC Geocachers forum. I *FORGOT* about *this* thread - where I first learned about the group - until AFTER I posted. {I also sent you an email.} I *should have* posted here. As my daughter would say, "My Bad...." ;~)° {Edit: I 'deleted' that post in the other thread, and replaced it with a brief 'note' saying I reposted it here.} Edited March 12, 2014 by Coast Guard Kiteman Quote Link to comment

This was last year's http://coord.info/GC468M0 Thanks! I'll have to keep my eye on that one. Is it usually in the Concord area or does it move around the state each year? Quote Link to comment
+nittany dave
It moves around although we're thinking of selecting 1-2 locations and sticking with them to make it easier to organize and for people to know where it will be longer in advance. This year it will probably be more central. Quote Link to comment

Coast Guard Kiteman
Here is this year's.. http://coord.info/GC53RFA My Daughter & Grandson live not too far from there. Maybe I will make it a "two-fer".... {My wedding anniversary is in October, but since the wife & I are separated, I do not believe that will be much of a problem....} Quote Link to comment
