+Boggin's Dad
I have recently purchased a Garmin GLO, to work with my iPad on the aviation package Sky Demon. I also realised that it gives pretty accurate Coordinates for setting caches. So a question emerges from this... What Apps are there out there for averaging these readings to give as precise a reading as possible? Thanks Quote Link to comment
+geodarts
Some people use Perfect Mark ($.99), but I don't believe that averaging is a panacea. Even if you average a waypoint it should be done over time and tested. The GLO should first settle in. All caching apps (and some others) will allow you to take a waypoint so you can use that determine an average. Mark the first. Come from another direction. See where the first waypoint gets you. Take another waypoint. Repeat. Do this a few times. Quote Link to comment
+Red90
The problem you will have to deal with is that the GLO has built in filtering and the raw GPS signal is not sent out. I've not sure how well any averaging will really work. Quote Link to comment
