mollymunch
I have been geocaching for nearly 3 years now, and apart from the odd occasion when I have persuaded a friend or one of my children plus grandchildren along, I have geocached alone. I have done ok, (450 so far) and I have a great time. However, it would be a real bonus to meet someone in my local area who may also be looking for someone to enjoy caching with. I live in Northants. I am in my late 50s and can walk a long way at a steady pace. I am getting used to funny looks as I am backing out of a hedge or from under a bridge as I come face to face with a muggle. I can't look out for muggles and rummage around at the same time! If there is anyone around my area who is also looking for a geocaching friend please get in touch. I geocache under the name of mollymunch. Quote Link to comment
Legochugglers
Are you on Facebook. Try Geocaching Midlands GeM Facebook group or EMcache. Lots of events, people that meet up and do series together. I am sure there are a few from the Northants area. Quote Link to comment
Simply Paul
I can recommend two great ways to meet caching buddies; through your local Facebook caching group and caching events in your area. I see you've been to a couple already, but the more you show your face, the more others get to know you and event chats often lead to joint trips out. Quote Link to comment
mollymunch
Thanks to Simply Paul and Legochugglers for your replies. Unfortunately I am no longer using FB...long story! Quote Link to comment
urban wombat
As above, Faceache is probably your easiest option, but if you don't use it then I would suggest attending a local event and try to hook up with somebody there. Or maybe browse member profiles local to you and send a few friendship messages and see if anyone wants some company. Quote Link to comment

chillypenguin
Hi Molly There is a regular (Monthly) series of events based around Northampton and surrounding area called Northants Natters. Why not come and join us one month. The one for March should be published in a week or so. Quote Link to comment
