+Olly's Hunters
Morning, the company I work for is celebrating its 60th Anniversary this year and we were thinking of some kind of cache to celebrate, anyone have any ideas? Quote Link to comment
+speakers-corner
How many work for the Company? A worker gets question to answer. The answer is then passed onto the next Person on a list who has to use the answer to help answer their Task and so on. A form of "Postmans Knock". Each Person has their own answer and together you get the koords for the Cache. Quote Link to comment

How about a 60-stage multi?! And to celebrate and honor the employees who got the company to this point, people get to seek the cache during the work day. Quote Link to comment
+Seaglass Pirates
An event cache. BBQ etc with a series of 10 caches for each 10 years going. If it's a really flush affair get a geocoin made for the winner. Easy to do ... Not allowed to mention any sites of course but you can get a laser engraved metal one for about. 15 euros. Send them the photo or logo or design and they will engrave a geocoin. Ready in about 3 days. Quote Link to comment
+Pja_cz
Since we are not even allowed to mention certain companies and organizations in the listing, wouldn't a "company cache" count as a commercial one? Quote Link to comment

Thank you for this, where would I find information on whether we can or can't have a commercial cache, as may look to create a cache with geocoins in for any geocacher to find? Quote Link to comment

The easiest way would be to contact your local reviewer - the person who publishes new caches - explain your idea to him, and ask them if such a cache would be allowed. If you don't know who your local reviewer is, check couple of nearby caches. When you scroll all the way down the "logbook", you will see a "Publish Listing" log. The person who posted that is the reviewer. Good luck! Edited January 22, 2014 by Pja_cz Quote Link to comment

Before you place any cache for publication to this site you'll need to read up on Geocache Listing Requirements/ Guidelines. On that link above, Section II 1.4, you'll see Solicitation and Commercial Content Geocaches do not solicit for any purpose. Commercial geocaches are disallowed. Cache listings perceived as commercial will not be published. A commercial cache listing has one or more of the following characteristics: It has overtones of advertising, marketing or promotion. It suggests or requires that the finder go inside a business, interact with employees and/or purchase a product or service. It contains links to businesses, agencies, commercial advertisers, charities, or political or social agendas. It contains the logo of a business or organization, including non-profit organizations. It contains the name of a business or commercial product. If you think you might be interested in the idea of creating a geocoin to mark the anniversay, you can find more info about producing them the over in the Geocoin forum and also in the Help Center: Minting geocoins and trackables. +Olly's Hunters
Thank you everyone for your advice. As this would be a commercial one and people would get something which would have our company logo on, we will remove this from our list of ideas. Happy caching Quote Link to comment
