Mega Robin
Hello, I'm new to geocaching, and I was trying to get my profile filled in as complete as possible. However, I'm unable to select my gps device because it's not listed. I'm using a Sony NV-U70T. The closest one to that that I could find in the list on this website is the Sony NV-U50, altough it's listed in the "Sony Ericson" dropdown menu, which is also wrong. Is there a way to report this to the people who do the maintenance of the website? Greetings, Robin PS: I'm also going to be using an ipad mini for geocaching, but only the regular ipad is listed in the gps list (which isn't a big difference to the use of the gps receiver inside them, though). +GeoTrekker26
Don't worry about it. Other cachers can't see that part of your profile. At one point GS may have used the information but it's obvious even they don't care about it anymore. Welcome to caching! Quote Link to comment
+RonFisk
Actually they should pay attention to it or delete it altogether. The gps device database is sadly out of date. They don't even have any of the new Garmin devices listed. Maybe someone at Groundspeak should be assigned this task. Jeremy, are you listening? Quote Link to comment
Jayme H
Yep, we're listening. I'll check with the web team to see what it may take to remove the GPS device database from the site. Thanks for the reminder about this one. Quote Link to comment
