Stuck/broken state/province select slider

Here's a new one for the It's Broken files:

Beginning yesterday the slider on the state/province selector quit working in Chrome. Right now I'm writing waymarks, saving them, then posting them with the state/province correctly selected on the desktop computer, running Firefox. Works fine on Firefox. We have two laptops, running Chrome on each. Same problem on both - stuck slider. Noticed a stuck slider somewhere else, but can't remember at the moment where.

I have confirmed this but had not noticed because I don't use the slider. To select the correct state type the first letter in the box and the drop down automatically go to the first state beginning with that letter. If you type first letter again it will move to the next one. Thus to select Missouri I type M five times. Actually this is the only way I use these combo boxed.

HEY - THANKS Bruce. I knew that from long ago and had forgotten about that method. So now I don't really care if Google fixes it or not.

BTW the slider works most places, just not at Waymarking. Which, to me, seems only natural since I spend 95% of my time at Waymarking. Another of those "Gang Aft Agley"s.
