Does everyong always get permission for a cache?

 

I've spent ages recently emailing people for permission, and they're on holiday, or pass you on..

 

How does everyong get their permission?

Unfortunately, there are too many people who don't ask for permission. But people on holiday is a valid reason around this time. They pass you on because a lot of people don't know who in their organization is in charge of caches. Help them along, make suggestions.

 

If someone else near you specifically mentions their permission in the description ask for contact info to expedite your efforts to reach the right person.

Being in the U.K, I suspect your first step should be to contact the G.A.G.B.

The UK Geocaching Wiki has a huge amount of informtion about caching in the UK. It has details of those landowners who require you to get permission first; locations where you must show the reviewers you have permission as well as areas where caches may not be allowed. It also has the various maps the reviewers use when checking cache locations. You can use these yourself to check locations.
