This tour will take you along the byways of Cortland County to the secret and not-so-secret hideaways where they have stashed caches for you to discover. Along the way you will learn about the county history that includes underground railroads, civil war camps, major league ballplayers, and possibly the best trucks ever built. You may also experience some of the nicest countryside and rural villages you will ever find in New York State. Quote
+ChileHead Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 We had a group of 12 or so do this a few weeks ago. Make sure when planning your route, if going in the winter, you check which country roads are seasonal. We had a couple detours because the roads weren't plowed. We did the ones on the NW first, which were the most spread out and on the most rural of areas, and thought we wouldn't finish the trail in one day. But after those were out of the way the others went much faster and we finished just before dark set in. Quote
