Waymarking Made More Difficult - Uploading Photos

Besides the Search From Center of Map feature not working (see other thread), it has now become exceedingly difficult to submit new waymarks because of repeated failures to upload photos. About half the time I get this message:

 

•An error occured in the File Upload Service. There was no endpoint listening at http://bishop.Groundspeak.com:8000/FileService.svc that could accept the message. This is often caused by an incorrect address or SOAP action. See InnerException, if present, for more details.

 

As if things weren't hard enough already!

I reported this issue to Groundspeak last evening.

Thanks Bruce. The map feature is still broken, but maybe something will be done about this pretty quick. I can always dream, can't I?

- This only happens for the first picture uploaded to a new waymark. At the second try with the same picture and for further pictures the problem doesn't exist anymore.

- This happens everytime!

Almost thought the problem was fixed. I did 3 waymarks and no error on any photos but then got it again on the 4th one

Sometimes others are faster than me - I just wanted to report this bug, but some other already did.

 

Some more details:

- This only happens for the first picture uploaded to a new waymark. At the second try with the same picture and for further pictures the problem doesn't exist anymore.

I hope GS will fix this bug fast.

 

It doesn't happen EVERYTIME to me. Far from it. Perhaps in 10% of the submitted Waymarks.

I made 10 waymarks yesterday and uploaded a host of photos with no problems. So apparently this bug was quietly fixed.

 

Unless we hear otherwise, I think this topic is closed. For now.
