+iamgeek
I have a very unique Travel Bug that has been receiving a lot of virtual logs lately. I would just like to ask the Geocaching community to be on the lookout for pictures of this Travel Bug online without the tracking number obscured. Pictures of the Travel Bug can be found on its page here: http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=3556163. It is extremely unique so there is no missing it if you see it. +RedjackRyan
Is this the bug? - http://coord.info/TB4958W For some reason the link you posted didn't work for me. Good luck with the bug! It looks like something easy to get in a random photo at an event, and it appears it has made its way to the German and DGS black-market travel bug lists. You can always delete any logs that you feel are virtual. Unfortunately it has to be done on an individual basis as there is no bulk-delete function. Click on "Visit Log", and then on the next page the red trash can. -RedjackRyan Edited November 21, 2013 by RedjackRyan Quote Link to comment

Thanks, "iamgeek" http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=3556163 (removed the period that was fritzing the link) That's a really neat tb. Too bad that some people feel the need to be jerks. Just a thought...if you don't want to have folks sign the tb itself, perhaps you could create a "log book" for it. That way, you could have a list of legitimate discoverers. B. +TriciaG
It's probably too late now, but one could probably use a smaller tracking number that wouldn't be visible when one takes a picture of it. Quote Link to comment

If that happened to one of our trackables I would delete all the virtual finds - especially the European logs. You know where and when you made it available for people to see so you can figure out most of the US virtual logs too. Quote Link to comment

I didn't take a picture with the TB number in view (although I did take a picture of the number on the stuffed animal), and somehow never noted the tracking number, so I didn't make a Discover log. You should smudge the number on the actual TB just like you do in your bug pictures, to show people how to not display a Tracking Number in a photo. Quote Link to comment
