+MastahMatt
So I see that just recently, when I choose Compose Log on the Field Notes page, it autofills the date on the next page a day ahead. It even let me log caches for tomorrow... though that might be because it IS tomorrow in some parts of the world. This is a serious annoyance. I remember this being a major issue years ago, but was fixed. Is anyone else having this problem? Quote Link to comment
+ecanderson
What is the source for your field notes? Which device? If using a geocaching_visits.txt file, use a text editor on the file and observe a typical timestamp and compare to when you were there. You should show +6 hours in the logs vs. when you actually created the log entry (GMT). What time zone have you set for your profile? Double check your account preferences to be sure you're in CST. Logs generated 'on unit' should be recorded in GMT, and date/time adjusted based upon your profile time zone. Edited November 15, 2013 by ecanderson Quote Link to comment
+moicy
The Field Notes page seems to be using Greenwich time now instead of the time zone in our account preferences. Quote Link to comment
+ratjam
Something has definitely changed. I have never had a issue when using field notes. Today I was logging caches I found yesterday. On the page with the list of caches found, the date is correct for my find, but shows off by about 5 hours. The finds were made at 17:00 EST but the page shows 22:00. When I use the compose link, the date changes from 11/13/2013 to 11/14/2013. Quote Link to comment
Moun10Bike
I encountered this as well. This is due to a change that was made to the account service today. I have notified engineering. Quote Link to comment
+MastahMatt
Seems to be all fixed. Thank you! Glad I caught this before it caused havoc on my account. Guess I spoke too soon. It's still not correct. Edited November 17, 2013 by MastahMatt Quote Link to comment
+BinderyGuy
Yup, I noticed this issue a couple of days ago as well. Plays havoc on your mind when you're working on a consecutive daily streak and you notice missing dates in your field notes. Hopefully it'll get resolved soon. Quote Link to comment
