+ipodguy
Hello cachers! I've been playing around with how to add a geotag to a photo. I have an iPhone which automatically geotags photos I take, but they're not accurate enough for us. I had an idea for a fun little puzzle cache where I would host a geotagged photo online and the coordinates would be the exact location of the cache. I'd like to either add a geotag to a photo that isn't geotagged or edit the existing geotag on a photo. Does anybody know how I can do this so I can make a puzzle cache? Thanks! -ipodguy- Quote Link to comment
+chillypenguin
I am not sure, but I believe that I have read on the forums that GS remove the geotags from photo's to prevent them from being used to find GZ of puzzle caches. So the picture would have to have hosted externally. Quote Link to comment
+JohnCNA
I use the free GeoSetter software. You can manually add coordinates. It will even batch geotag an entire folder automatically if I supply a gps tracklog obtained while the pictures were taken. I use that feature often with vacation photos. Google GeoSetter and you'll find it. Quote Link to comment
