+buteo Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 I'm looking to buy either a garmin Oregon 600 or a Garmin gpsmap 62 unit. It will be mainly for caching and would like to hear your experiences about both units.thanks Quote
+Mineral2 Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Both are great. Some people prefer a touch screen, others prefer buttons. Most recommendations are based on that bias. Go play with one in your hands to decide which interface you prefer to use. Quote
+BikeBill Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 You can load the Oregon 600 with an unlimited number of caches. I have a 60Csx (predecessor to the 62) but am saving my sheckels for a 600. I have no complaints about the 60Csx, though, other than I've worn the labels off the buttons. Quote
ubievol Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 Having gone through a similar evaluation, I concur that it really boils down to touch screen vs buttons as the main factor. Try to audition both. Quote
