+PinkRoseBud
Hi there! I want to get my gradparents involved in geocaching, but due to there very limited capability when using technology I want a really simple, cheap and easy to use GPS. I understand that the Geomate.jr is the best out there, and it would of course be ideal, except im unable to find and buy update cable in the uk. Does anyone have an alternative reccomendation for an equally straight forward gps device OR a place where I can buy a geomate.jr update cable that ships to the uk?? Thanks for your help! +DazeDnFamily
If they have a smartphone, C:GEO, or another smartphone app. If they get in to it, and start venturing further from civilization, a proper GPS might be warranted. Quote Link to comment
Pacific NW
Garmin Foretrex 301 or 401, or else eTrex 10, or a previous-generation eTrex model (eTrex H, perhaps?) with the high sensitivity chipset. No frills or maps, but gets you from Point A to Point B. Quote Link to comment
+BAMBOOZLE
Get a Garmin unit with mapping capability and a micro-SD card slot. Then get them Garmin City Navigator Maps on a micro-SD card. They can slip the card in and be ready to go ( units come with a base map that is about worthless but still better than no map ) Most all newer units are paperless. If money is a big concern go with the Oregon 450, if not I like the 62S best of all. Quote Link to comment
