+K13
I just received a 450, and am having no luck getting my PQ loaded into the unit. I connect the 450 to my Win7 laptop as a storage device & navigate to the Garmin/GPX file folder, then copy my PQ (xxxxx.gpx) file to that folder, but when I disconnect and turn on the GPS, it tells me there are no geocaches found....go to garmin.com/geocache to learn more. The Garmin site is not very helpful at all. Quote Link to comment
+Yorkshire Yellow
Connect your Oregon to your PC and male sure that the 'My computer' folder has your Oregon listed there as a drive. Then download the pocket query from GC.com, unzip it to a GPX file and then drag and drop the two files you see (one is the caches and the other any associated waypoints such as parking, etc) to the Oregon. This works also for any storage card you have in the Oregon, which is where I put all of mine. You can get lots of useful info on the Garmin Oregon wiki, which has a specific geocaching section. +JohnCNA
I get the same thing with my eTrex 30 every once in a while. What usually cures this is a power cycle of the device. On very rare occasions I have had to remove the SD card and power up. Power off and reinsert the card and power on again. Quote Link to comment
+K13
It seems I had placedd the .gpx files from my PQ in the wrong place. They needed to be in the GPX folder, not in the 'Current' sub-folder. All is well and thanks for your help. Quote Link to comment
