Good question.

I can't speak for the other groups, but as the Leader of the "Goin' for Gold" group, our intention was to leave open enrollment off until after a positive outcome in peer review. In my opinion, there's no point having a bunch of people join a group that doesn't go anywhere. However, it's looking like that won't be an issue.

There are many reasons that a group may decide to have the group closed. That is a decision to be made by the group leader. Many times they are started closed and then open later.
