In my hometown many cachers have an ftf "bar" that moves across the bottom of the page. how is this done?

HTML in the cache description. I forget the specific tag, though.

 

If you look at the source code for the webpage, you can copy whatever it is and edit it to suit your needs.

 

Or you could show it to me and I could figure it out.

Do you really want this? Things that move on the page are extremely distracting to many users. I find it very hard to read the cache description when something that really has nothing to do with me finding the cache is constantly catching my eye. If you really want to do it, wrap your text in marquee tags. Do a Google search on "html marquee"

Try this to start with:

You'll have to play with the different fonts, colors, sizes, etc.
