Hi, I have 2 TBs that need moving on, the trouble is one has a mission and I can't find a suitable cache in my area apart from one of my own hides, is it acceptable to put it in my cache? Thanks x

Yes, you can click on Write Note and leave a message that you're dropping off a trackable. My wife & I do this all this time after we come back from road trips.

Yes, it's perfectly acceptable to drop trackables in caches you own.

 

You wouldn't post "found it" on the cache page to do that. Rather, use the "write note" log option when dropping the trackable.

 

You can also do this for caches you have previously found, if you wanted to drop trackables in them.

Quite acceptable. I find it tricky sometimes when I pick up a tb and there is no goal attached that it is only when I come home and log it I realise that I am not going to be able to help it with its goal at all!

Yes, and don't get hung up on sticking religiously to the traveler's mission or goal as you don't typically see those until you get home and read the tracking page. The most important thing is to help the tb/gc move along.

Thanks for all your responses, good news that I can place TBs in caches already visited as well as my own.

 

You can also retrieve TB's from your own caches, and caches you have found previously!

 

(Just don't go taking ALL the TB's that are dropped into your caches, without giving others a chance to retrieve them!)
