random_incoherencies
Saw this listing on ebay; http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lot-of-8-Geocoin-Club-Activated-Geocoins-w-pathtags-And-1-Travel-Bug-/190895478895?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2c7241d86f Looks like the seller is trying to auction off Geocoins that belong to other geocachers. +Kacher82
I notice he's listing them as new, too. Maybe I should watch the listing. If they go cheap enough, I could buy them just to get them back in circulation. Quote Link to comment
+ThePetersTrio
I just sent him/her a note asking if they were his/her property or if they were collected from caches. We'll see if he/she responds. It is certainly against eBay policy to sell stolen merchandise. Quote Link to comment
+Quossum
Found one of them: http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=3866977 Doesn't look legit to see it on eBay, not at all. --Q Edited to say I found another one: http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=4204185 Picked up by the same guy as the one above. And here's a third: http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=614927 The person who picked them all up has 700+ finds and one would think knows better. The eBay seller mentions his son "finding" them. Maybe there's some major misunderstandings going on here rather than malice, but...it doesn't look good. +kunarion
I just sent him/her a note asking if they were his/her property or if they were collected from caches. We'll see if he/she responds. According to the listing, "No questions or answers have been posted about this item", just like on all the other stolen Trackable auctions. It is certainly against eBay policy to sell stolen merchandise. Why does Ebay even bother stating such a policy? Edited September 3, 2013 by kunarion Quote Link to comment
+Kacher82
He just ended the listing. Guess there's our answer. Quote Link to comment
random_incoherencies
Ha, that's funny. Guess the seller was not expecting to be questioned about these items. Hopefully they get them back out into circulation now. Quote Link to comment
+kunarion
I'm guessing there's a very embarassed father tonight. And maybe a very grounded son? Quote Link to comment

You planning on contacting the owners and letting them know about the attempt to sell their property on eBay? I know if I were an owner of one of those items, I'd sure like to know about it. Maybe that's just me though. Quote Link to comment
+Harry Dolphin
I'm relatively sure the cacher is the son. (I'm really hoping that an adult would not dedicate a series of caches to his favorite TV show: South Park.) (Yes. I've done most of his caches in the Clifton area...) (It could explain why some of his caches away from his home area take a fair amount of time for maintenance.) The father does not seem to log caches on-line. They seem to be having a good father/son adventure geocaching/hiking. Hopefully, he has learnt his lesson. Quote Link to comment
+speakers-corner
At the moment he seems to be holding approx 11 TB's/Coins. Quote Link to comment
