Logging with photo's

Hi, I was wondering what guidelines I should follow if I want to post a photograph when I log a cache. I can't find much about it on the website. Obviously I don't want to give away any clues, so whats the best way to do it? Or is it better not to include a photo at all? Sorry if this has been covered before. Thanks in advance.

Upload any photos that you would like to.

You should however, not show a geocache in position relative to its hide. You should also take into account unique camouflage technique and style -- if such is the case -- and not post such.

Otherwise, show the cache container itself (especially with family or cachers present), the contents or the area (near) where it resides at will.

As a CO I love getting pics from finders of my caches. Just consider if the picture will be a spoiler for the cache. For example, no big deal if you take a picture of an ammo can or a lock-n-lock, because one looks pretty much like all the rest. But if the container is cleverly disguised to look like something else, like a log or a birdhouse or something, the photo might be a spoiler. Likewise if you take a picture of the cache in its hiding spot, that may also be a giveaway.

Just use a little common sense and you should be OK.

Nothing "official", but it's courtesy not to show the exact location of a cache.

And if the camo is different, don't show the cache container itself.

Yes, there's a warning about "spoilers", but people tend to not read much.

The cache owner can delete any photos (or logs) if he/she feels it gives too much away.

I love seeing photos on cache logs. Not many people do it any more, it seems.
