I know this is an old complaint, but here's another case where a RESET station has apparently been set after the original disk was destroyed, and a bunch of folks logged it as if the "RESET 1971" stamping on the disk had somehow magically morphed on the original disk from the "1922" stamping listed on the datasheet. I guess we should be thankful that no one filed an erroneous NGS report.

What bugs me is people who log a find but don't post a photo if the benchmark!

 

And Founds being logged when a Note would explain the circumstances of the true geodetic mapping point not being seen. MEL

What bugs me even more is when they post a photo that clearly is not the mark described!
