+BIG wild_adventurers
I would really like to get a club going to meet others, have events and so on. What would be a good way to get the word out? Any advice or ideas you want to throw out? Quote Link to comment
+The Blorenges
Most geocachers get to know other geocachers by attending local event caches- you soon start putting faces to those geocaching names you see in local caches. There may not be a need for a geocaching club in your area - it may already be happening at such events Also, look for local geocaching groups on facebook - Very likely there will be a few. Any advice or ideas you want to throw out? Host an event, just a "Meet-n-Greet" or "Coffee Meet". Cachers will be notified of a new cache and will show up. Keep it simple. Quote Link to comment
+niraD
But wait until a couple weeks after the 31 Days of August promotion ends to host your event. The newsletter event list is probably pretty crowded with souvenir flash mob events for people who want the 31 Days of August souvenirs. They're more likely to see your event listing if you wait.
