ikayak
I figured this is what happened to my cache during our recent prolonged flooding. See the 3/4/03 posting for Mudpuppy Paradise. Mudpuppy travelled over 30 miles down two rivers during its travels. Mudpuppy, come home!!! http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=44021 [This message was edited by ikayak on March 04, 2003 at 08:05 PM.] [This message was edited by ikayak on March 04, 2003 at 08:07 PM.] Quote Link to comment

+Team GeoDillo
We had a similar experience recently with our Keebler Cache only the final chapter hasn't been written yet. We hid it in a spot that tended to flood during heavy rains (otherwise it was an incredible spot). Several times we had to dig it out after floods filled sand in around and on top of it. Then a few weeks ago it came up missing and we immediately thought "plundered". But the more we thought about it logically, we realized that it probably floated away after 3 days of rain. We didn't really consider the fact that an ammo can could float (D'oh!), but the guy at the army surplus store said "yep...they float". Hopefully someone will find ours too and email us! +Newenglandah
What I ment is , how offen is it a cache travels 30 miles on a river stays in tack and then a friend finds it? Just seems like random luck to me... Found the cache but where is that damm GPS? See You In the Woods!!! Natureboy1376 Quote Link to comment
