dentonous Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 I found a cache washed up on the bank of the Elbow River in Calgary after the flood. Using the map search it doesn't appear to have been originally placed near where I found it. I'm not paying for a membership... can someone locate it, and how do I let the next person where it ended up after the flood so they can find it in it's new location? June 15 is the first log date by - Rusty??? (can't read the writing) Quote
+Kacher82 Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Is there a cache name or GC number in the container somewhere? It could have washed quite a ways downstream. If it can be identified, the CO needs to know so he can replace it. Quote
+6NoisyHikers Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Can you take a picture of the container and post it here? Please tell us where you located it (coordinates would be great, but any nearby reference point will do. Is the June 15th log for 2013? Are there any other signatures in the log book? Are there any trackable items - coins or small figures with a dog tag attached that have a tracking number on them? Quote
+CanadianRockies Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 (edited) It might be The Pirate's Stash (GC2B1JD), which is a 1/2 litre Lock & Lock container. The cache had gone missing before the floods and was replaced by the cache owner on 12 June 2013. "Rustywa" was the one and only finder since then (on 15 June). You can send a message to the cache owner via this page. Edited August 8, 2013 by CanadianRockies Quote
