+M Crane
Has anyone ever connected to their GPS via USB to an Android smartphone? I Have A Garmin 60Csx, and I would like to be able to transfer waypoints to my GPS from my Android phone like I do at home. this is mainly for when I travel. the GPS in the smartphone isn't always the greatest, and punching all the points in manually to the 60Csx can be tedious. +Walts Hunting
It depends on the phone and your carrier but with Verizon and a Galaxy S3 (now A4) I could hook up my Montana using a dual power usb and an OTG cable. The dual power was needed because of the Montana's power draw. For most GPS's just an OTG is fine. Quote Link to comment
+Socal ZukiCachers
I have loaded GPX files to my Magellan 610 & 710 using my Android and a Micro SD card. David Quote Link to comment
+cphickie
There is an app called "Garmin Exchanger" for android phones (in the Google Play Store) that looks like it might work if you aren't able to get the phone to see your GPS60 on a straight connection. But (disclaimer) I have not yet tried it for my droid4 to gpsmap62. Quote Link to comment
