+slowfox
Has anyone found a good mountainbike handlebar mount for an etrex20? Thanks Slowfox Quote Link to comment
+Redwoods Mtn Biker
I like Garmin's mount, although the eTrex line is harder to slide on due to the plastic (not metal) rail on the back. Quote Link to comment

+slowfox
Thanks Have read lots of bad comments re the garmin as it doesn't seem to be designed for the etrex20 and requires filing bits off. As for the Ram cradle holder, I can't see how you mount it to a mountain bike's handlebars; the cradle needs an additional mount but I can't find it! Slowfox Quote Link to comment
+hydrodis
I think ram mounts of any kind are the best. cheaper to buy direct from USA if in UK.I have used ..mountguys.com in the past and found them to be reliable. Quote Link to comment

+Redwoods Mtn Biker
I used to use RAM mounts al the time, but I'm not a fan of their high profile. Quote Link to comment
+slowfox
Thanks again....have looked at the RAM website in the UK but as I live in France it's not that simple. When I've made my purchase I'll post what I've done. Happy caching to all Slowfox Quote Link to comment

+slowfox
I emailed RAM in the UK as to what to buy and they recommended the RAM_HOL_GA48 holder together with the RAP-274-1 Eze mount. I ordered these at 14.30 yesterday and they arrived at 13.00 today and we live in a rural part of France; I call that pretty good. All assembled and on the bike ready for action; seems to be ideal. Thanks for the advice, Slowfox Quote Link to comment

It works great with my Dakota and works good with my Etrex although it is harder to slide out then the Dakota. But it will not fly off period. Quote Link to comment
