Containers

I have a cache that I adopted from a local person and would like to update it because it is in bad condition. The containers im looking for are different types of nuts. Not the nut and bolt type things but the edible kind. I've looked on Ebay and other places but cant seem to find what im looking for. I bought a small acorn on Ebay buy it didn't last very long. I've also found one at hobby lobby but they seem to be seasonal things. So my question is, Where can I find some unique nut containers that will withstand the elements?

The cache is a multi so my thought was to go from big to small. They obviously need to be able to hold a log or be able to contain the cords for the next stage.

Why not make 'em yourself?

We've seen walnuts, perfectly split in half with magnets holding it together.

They had a clear coat spray inside/out.

Fun stage for a multi, but not weatherproof.

splitting them in half would work but hey are awfully small. Cant hurt to try though.

I googled "plastic walnuts" and came up with some companies selling them in lots of 40 pieces and such.

I have zero experience with fake nuts, or nuts used as caches, but I can't imagine any that would be weatherproof for any significant period of time.
