LotusLeon
Hello there, we want to start a new cache. Now i don´t know how to get it done the right way The cache is nothing to hide, so a regular cache isn´t the right way. The coordinates will be "stamped" in a piece of stone or steel ... not knowing it for sure by now. Provided from the land surveying office the coordinates are real detailed so anyone who travels to it can check the correct display of his own device. The cache will be located in a place with free sight to satellites so i hope this would be a nice thing. So... how should i do this ? Or put a regular cache just on the same place ??? Sorry for my bad english just use itnot often enough. Thanks from germany.... Quote Link to comment
+msrubble
Except for earthcaches and event caches, geocaches without a container at the end of the search are not allowed anymore. There is a German-speaking section of the forum. Start frei! and Geocaching (Allgemeine) would be most helpful for your question. Grüße aus Minnesota/USA. Quote Link to comment
+niraD
Having coordinates stamped in something sounds like the beginning of a multi-cache. Of course, those coordinates need to lead to an actual container (or to other clues that eventually lead to an actual container). Quote Link to comment
+J Grouchy
Sounds to me like Benchmarking, although this one wouldn't qualify as one of the NGS Benchmarks. If there is some other information on it, you could perhaps use it as a stage in a multicache...making the cacher take that information in some way to lead them to other coordinates for another stage in the multicache. I have one cache that does something similar...though instead of a survey marker it's a stamped brick paver. Quote Link to comment
