Pinterest & Waymarking

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

a few month ago I checked out Pinterest, a new internet platform. First I thought, hey, there are many things which could be interesting for Waymarkers. (e.g. Getting inspired about places to Waymark).

Then I forget the site until I talked with Bruce about it.

I/we think that Pinterest is a great way to bring Waymarking to a broader public.

On Pinterest you pin pictures on boards. The boards could be about whatever you want.

Check out my lumbricus account to see what I mean.

Other Pinterest user can follow your boards and could repin pins they like.

If someone is clicking on the picture he will get automaticly on the Waymarking.com Waymark page (Thats good for traffic and for attracting attention).

There have been many pins from Waymarking.com before I started my boards.

I like the idea and think that's a good way to show the people the great things we waymarked/waymark. We have a great collection of pictures!

Happy Waymarking,

Seems like a good idea providing I don't post any photos. Those new to Waymarking (and not so new) can view photos such as appear in Roadside Attractions so they know exactly what is acceptable. Beats the search function on Waymarking. Agree about the possibility of attracting others to Waymarking as there are some great photos. Its commercial possibilities appear endless.
