Hi

I'm new to geocaching-its amazing fun!

Is it possible to upload logs from my Etrex to my laptop and this site all in one go, rather than going on the site and doing them singly, and how do I do it please?

I'm really confused about what you are trying to do. If you are trying to log your finds (and did not finds) to the web site, try using the field notes. When you tell the GPS you want to log an attempt, it will give you a menu as to what activity: found, dnf, not attempted, etc. After you select one of those you will have a menu that includes done and add comment. Select the add comment and write a brief note that will help you remember the cache and what you want to say about it.

 

When you get home, connect the gps to the laptop and log in to the web site. Under Your Profile on the ribbon menu you will find Field Notes. Click on that and follow the prompts to upload your notes. You will end up with a list of caches that need to be logged. Click on the appropriate spot to create a log and you will be taken to the create log screen with the date, log type already filled in and your brief note in the text entry box. Edit the text as you wish.

 

If this is what you are asking then you should be on your way. If not, please be a little clearer about exactly what you are trying to do.

I'll try that as I get back home today. This is just a real 'going back to school' for me, and I'm trying to learn quickly. I originally joined this site 6 years ago-but didn't really follow it up-so I'm definitely new to all this-and at the moment, pretty useless,but since I found my first cache-I'm hooked!
