How to insert a URL link in my Cache Description

Hi All

I am trying to insert a link to a third party website in my cache description.

I am however a bit confused with the dialogue box that appears when doing so.

What I want to see on the cache description page is a word that is blue in colour and when clicked on, will take you to the website.

e.g: "The cache is near the Eiffel Tower (link)"

the word "link" above is blue and when clicked on will take you to the Wikipedia page.

My problem is that I cannot figure out the HTML code for this. All I get is the full web address in my cache description.

Help will be appreciated!

OK I tried to show some examples but I couldn't get it working correctly.

Anyway Google "html link to another website"

BUT FIRST make sure the checkbox above the short description field is checked to enable HTML

The Help Center is a good place to get to know.

I've never bothered with the WYSIWYG editor myself - I find it quicker to hand-code the HTML source.

So I thought I'd have a play with the editor and see if I could achieve your objective - and you'll be glad to know it's quite easy :)

1. FIRST enter the body text of your cache description as you normally would - don't worry about the hyperlink yet. In your example you would enter The cache is near the Eiffel Tower (link)

2. Use your mouse to select the piece of text that you wish to turn into a clickable hyperlink - in your example the word link

3. THEN click the Link button on the editor's toolbar

4. Enter the desired destination URL in the URL text box - in your example http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eiffel_Tower

5. Click the OK button

Job done :)
