RossOlson
Becareful were you place caches. "I ran across this one close to were I live. I posted this warning: Anybody looking for the cache needs to be aware you are very close to areas that have controlled access. It is possible that if you went to far north or east you find trouble. The cache is not in a bad place. If you set out from the west and head east you should be ok. If you ended up in the wrong place you COULD be searched and held. I wouldn't carry any firearms to this location just in case you miss your target. I met a group of off-roaders that ended up in one these areas and had a military escort out. I was planning on heading there sometime this week and was doing a bit of pre-planning when I discovered this." Things are a little tense around military installations and consideration should be made when hiding strange liitle packages close to them. Quote Link to comment

+Dan_Edwards
Here is a link to Monty's Drop and I can see the cause for concern. It looks like the cache is within 3/4 of a mile of nice military border. Still a fine place to place a cache as far as I can see, but also a good idea to give people a heads up not to just wander around without a care in the world either Quote Link to comment
+ColdMachine
I was going to test my latest innovation there, but maybe I should try out my GPS Turban-tenna somewhere else. Quote Link to comment
RossOlson
The reservation is closer than the map on that page depicts. Not all maps are created equal. The military reservation is not the only restricted area out there. There are signs on some of the road but probably not on all the trails. Quote Link to comment

I have a cache next to an Army base(since sold to the RCMP). They have a huge fence and as long as you stay out of it they don't hassle you. Actually since I live in Canada, military's not much of a problem, I think we sent all three guys to Aphganistan(kidding.. really!). Quote Link to comment
+Dekaner
... and then we managed to kill all three in friendly fire. Okay okay, bad joke. I know I know. - Dekaner of Team KKF2A Quote Link to comment
