+Mineral2
I have a Garmin Oregon 450t. I like to load the state topographic maps from gpsfiledepot.com. Many of these maps have tiles that don't simply end at the state line, and some maps have data into the adjacent state and some don't. As I live close enough to the state line for this to be a concern, I was wondering if there was some way to force certain maps to layer on top of others. I'm not sure how my unit decides which order the maps should layer on top of each other, but it's not alphabetical. Quote Link to comment

Simply enable/disable the maps in setup by title. You only need to see one map at a time, enable it, disable the rest. Quote Link to comment
eaparks
Another option you can consider is to create additional customized "Profiles" that displays the particular topo you want to use... change profiles and you get a different topo with the settings already saved you want for that state. Not perfect, but another option. Quote Link to comment

One popular one is Mapwel available several places just google it. Full version is only $45. Here are the specifications from Garmin about doing that. http://www.mapwel.net/manual/0975layers.htm Quote Link to comment
