+Braelyn grace
We are heartbroken. She worked so very hard on six new caches about our little town. It was all we had planned for her spring break. Quote Link to comment
+ByronForestPreserve
I just received several notifications of new caches in my area. I'd say April Fool's--you should change the name of one of them to "honor" the reviewer...in a positive, joking way, of course! Quote Link to comment
+cerberus1
I think you can be pretty sure this is an April fools gag. When did you ever hear of an official reviewer note calling Groundspeak "TPTB"? Quote Link to comment
AZcachemeister
I'd say that absolutely must be an April Fool's joke that escaped prematurely. OTOH, I wouldn't be disappointed if new listings were suspended for a time...but I would feel bad for your daughter. Or even your grand-daughter. (oops!) +The A-Team
Not a funny joke, if you ask me. Agreed. Jokes like that should be reserved for cachers the reviewer knows really well. Springing something like that on a 6-year-old is a bad idea. Quote Link to comment
+YaYa&PaPa
Its Ok, we know it was a joke. We never let Lady Grace on line before we have checked things out first.(just in case) and we are always with her when she is on. So no harm done. Quote Link to comment

Neither are the "Signals Time Machine" caches that are allowing people to find 50 something 5/5 caches all over the world and getting souvenirs and coloring in countries on the maps statistics page. Humor at someone else's expense is CONTRARY to everything Groundspeak pretends to believe in. Groundspeak should be ashamed. 4wheelin_fool
The biggest problem in geocaching is that it is only meant to be a fun, lighthearted hobby, but despite that, there will always be those who will take it much too seriously. However, if bflentje was really harmed by that cache page, they should definitely sue. Pain, suffering, monetary damages, the whole schmeel. But the New Forest in the UK has a limit of 200 caches. So no new caches can be placed without an existing cache being archived. There is also a 10 per CO limit. Link to GAGB Agreement. Seriously, I looked up of where you might be living in and you are in an area that I know very well. I used to live over there for 4 years. Anyway, I have a very good idea who the reviewer was and met them last Dec when I was over there. They are really awesome people and yea, they like to joke around a bit.(I can see the grin on the reviewer face) Its a joke I believe. Quote Link to comment

+Viajero Perdido
Here is a Reviewer's Challenge cache for ya. Interesting. Since it doesn't quite say you have to be a reviewer to meet the requirements, and since you only need to accomplish 8 of the 9 possible actions (now why would that be?), it appears that any one of us could pull it off. Well, except for that one other detail... Quote Link to comment

In all reality, don't humans treat each other like dirt enough on every other day of the year? Why a day to official sanction it? Claiming to have a new, microscope, cache size is funny, and harms no one. However, I will agree that sometimes pranks cross the line into just plain meanness. Buut GC didn't cross that line. +Don_J
http://coord.info/GC48TH6 Cool. A reviewer publishes a cache that he owns and then archives it the same day. What happened to the cache permanence guideline? But why shouldn't he. The organization that he volunteers for did the same thing with about 100 caches worldwide. Is this how it's going to be? Guidelines simply get suspended on 4/1? Or, do you have to be a reviewer to play along? What kind of example does this set for the rest of us. Perhaps I can have a dozen or so caches published for an event and then archive them the same day? You know, what's good for the goose... Quote Link to comment
