GSAK and Tablets

I know this is the wrong area of the forums, however, I thought it might get wider "play time" before they boot it to the tech section.

 

Anyone familiar with a tablet that:

 

Plays well with GSAK

 

Has a USB port to then download GSAK databases into GPS'r units.

 

Thanks all ... hope they let this bang around here for a while before they boot it to the tech section.

What tablet?

If Apple it is tough.

GSAK runs on windows...exclusively.

GDAK may be helpful, especially if you have a PC running GSAK.

I am running on Samsung Ativ 500 running windows 8 with no issues

If you want to run GSAK on a tablet it must run the full version of Win 8, not Win 8 RT

I had this 'concern' over Christmas. Wanted a tablet but still wanted to run GSAK and be able to load the GPS's....

 

I ended up buying a netbook Acer Aspire ONE 11.6" with Windows 7 Home Premium installed. It's a small sized laptop basically but without a CD/DVD port.

USB ports and all...

 

Haven't officially used it to load the GPS's yet...but GSAK is installed on it and fully functional.

Bought one of those last month for the sole purpose of running GSAK when traveling.
