You are in the East Midlands region so look for an event near you. You may be interested in joining the EMcache FB group - it's a closed group but if you PM us with your real names we can add you to the group. We have lots of events and there's usually a group going out most weekends that I'm sure you'd be welcome to join for hints and tips. Apparently they are publishing lots of caches on the day - some on a walk and some drive-bys. I'm sure you could team up with some experienced cachers to do them and pick up some tips along the way!
