+ngbngb
Hi, I previosly asked in spanish but nobody understand whats going on. Topic here: Discussion in spanish The problem is how geocaching site calculates the number of caches found. I see some differences depending where I look. Right now Ive logged 23 caches. If I look on the right corner of the page, next to my nickname I see "23 Caches Found". Then I click on my nickname to enter my profile. On the right I can see a little gray square with a "FINDS 21" on it. Then I click on "Your public profile" and I see "Caches found 21". After that I click the "Geocaches" tab and I can see: Traditional caches 21, Unknown caches 2, Total found 21. Someone knows whats going on? Thanks in advance for your answers. +cerberus1
Your last two caches were found on the sixth of March. Apparently, a glitch happened at Groundspeak and everyone with that date (last found) had the same problem. Supposedly, when you find another cache and log it, everything will fix itself (somehow). Go caching and add another now. Quote Link to comment
+Gitchee-Gummee
It is my understanding that little window (I forget what it is called), is generated by a different server. It is probably the last thing that updates to show "current" status. I have noticed it different in the past... it'll update in time. Quote Link to comment
+ngbngb
Thanks for your answers. I understand the issue now, but I cant find a good reason why they didnt lunch a process to update the count after 9 days. Anyway its not big deal. Quote Link to comment
+TheWeatherWarrior
Are these also all unique finds in unique caches. Some browsers need refreshing more so than others. Quote Link to comment
