+Bushwhack Bob
My account expires 3/16/13 and I am unable to update my credit card info. The webpage takes the credit card info, then hangs with the message "Processing" at the bottom of the page. I have tried four times on Macs and PCs and waited an hour. Nothing works. Send email to Groundspeak yesterday, but I guess nobody is home. Quote Link to comment
+cerberus1
Someone else posted a while back with issues similar and after presenting an unusual way to "beat the system" (the "Am I stupid" thread found below this one), a lackey responded. Guess it's best to wait... Quote Link to comment

Guess it's best to wait... I might know a little bit about this since "I am Spartacus". I mean: "I am Stupid". I was dealing with a reoccurring membership that was linked to a Credit Card that had supposedly just expired and COULD NOT BE UPDATED ON THE SITE. It would also hang in "Processing". I was on an even tighter schedule for membership expiration than you. Did you ever see the commercials where the "Bank" answers customers requests with a computerized teller that isn't actually listening to the question? I still don't know how this would have shaken out if I had not solved the problem on my own. Although they did indicate they would pass my frustrations on to the developers. Welcome to the club? I was even offered the chance to: "Provide us with feedback about our service", but didn't bother. I can't see what possible good would have come out of it. But I guess that is what I did just now. If all else fails, buy yourself a GIFT membership. It will go right through. Quote Link to comment
+luckycharmer
I just did a 1 year renewal using credit card, Firefox and a dialup connection and it went right through. No problem for me. Quote Link to comment

+luckycharmer
Yes. Same information but a new expiration date. Quote Link to comment
+Cardinal Red
Yes. Same information but a new expiration date. I have been a Premium Member probably about as long as you (I started out as a Basic for a while). My experiences mirrored your most recent one until I became a reoccurring membership account (still not sure how that happened. Perhaps a drug addled state from a hospital bed at that time). Is reoccurring membership status a common thread for those experiencing or not experiencing problems? I cancelled that status during this renewal fiasco thinking it might help immediately. It didn't. In the subsequent correspondence with HQ I was advised to re-initiate reoccurring membership status during my next renewal (without any clue from them about what the problem was or how it would have shaken out had I not latched on to my self help creative solution). Don't hold your breath Groundspeak. Not gonna happen. I'm gonna stick with what worked for me in the past. Quote Link to comment
+Cardinal Red
My first ever double post. I though I knew how to avoid that. Edited March 15, 2013 by Cardinal Red Quote Link to comment
