EC Leaderboard ?

With the advent of the EC Discovery awards a year or so back, I have to ask the question .... Who holds the record for EC finds ? I read somewhere else on this forum of a cacher with 350 finds. Anyone else ?

You are going to have to more than double that number. I know one cacher with 604 and I know there are a few others who have more than that.

There is a thread on this forum a few years back - and I seem to remember some cachers with amazing numbers of EC finds.

 

I believe all levels of Discovery Awards have already been given out.

I don't think the diamond level has been given out. I could be mistaken.

Oxsling is 1 or 2--I think there was somebody with more at the mega event in Maine, but can't remember. Just because nobody has a applied for the diamond award doesn't mean nobody is qualified for it.

Just got an email from OxSling recently regarding three of our earthcaches, so expect that number to climb.

And Oxsling is a really nice gentleman too He has completed quite a number of my ECs. I haven't heard of anyone anywhere close to his finds numbers. Maybe in Germany? ECs sprout out of every park and peak there it seems.

You can find excellent statistics at this Swedish site.

But when searching for top eartcache geocachers you seem to have to search whitin one country each time.

I never know how to build queries in this tool to be honest. But I just adjusted your link (thanks a lot for that!) and see that we're second in Denmark though we'd not even in the top 200 in the US

Oxsling has over 2000 earthcaches now. I understand that the wanderr is working on giving him a party for the accomplishment. I also had problems with getting project-gc to sort by found earthcaches, so I'm not sure about whether he has the record, but I'll bet he does.
