+Polomand
Anyone out there linking an Oregon 550 and an ipad 4? I have other options but this would give me a very portable game. Quote Link to comment
+Triple Crown
I don't think there's a direct way to link them. I've been sending PQ's to the iPad via DropBox and using them in an app called GeoBucket so I can have the same caches loaded on my iPad and my Oregon. It's helpful for looking at 'the big picture' Quote Link to comment
+Red90
There is no simple way as the default Apple operating system does not allow access to the files. It is simple with a Windows based device.... Probably the simplest way is a Wifi to SD card device. There are apps to transfer the files via WIFI, then plug the card into the GPS. Of course, that is not exactly convenient... It "might" be possible that the new Oregon 600 series will allow bluetooth file transfer, which might be able to work with the right app, but that is still yet to be seen. Quote Link to comment

Oregon 600: Wireless Capable: Bluetooth® and ANT Now you can wirelessly transfer large files such as photos, geocaches, adventures, routes and Custom Maps between Oregon 600-series devices (or with Garmin Basecamp Mobile). Plus, new technology allows your routes, waypoints and tracks to transfer up to 50 times faster. Oregon is also ANT+ wireless compatible for heart rate, cadence, chirp™ and tempe™ sensors. +Walts Hunting
To bad they didn't make the Bluetooth able to do the transfer with a computer and eliminate that pesky cable . Quote Link to comment
+user13371
Not with the 550, but you should be able to with the 650 when it comes out. No pesky cable, Bluetooth using the Garmin Basecamp Mobile app. The current version of Basecamp Mobile only works with the Fenix. Curious to see what else Garmin might add to the app when they update it to support the new Oregon. It's kinda puzzling that this app is only available for iOS - most of Garmin's mobile apps are available for both iOS & Android. Quote Link to comment
+Walts Hunting
That would be nice and maybe next they will update the Montana too. Quote Link to comment
