+BennyTheBoss
Hello all! Well I'm not exactly new but am new to the forums, I geocache around my neighborhood and there's quite a few within walking distance (5-6) and I take it upon myself to look over these caches for the cache owners. And I have seen that a few are no longer there but the cache post is still up. How do I contact Geocache to tell them the Cache is no longer there? Quote Link to comment
+Dame Deco
Go to the cache page, then go to the cache owner's page, then hit the link to email them. Quote Link to comment
+Viajero Perdido
Better would be to post a Needs Maintenance log (log your visit --> needs maintenance), so others can save themselves the trip. That's assuming you have firsthand knowledge the cache has problems. And thanks for doing that! Quote Link to comment
AZcachemeister
Assuming you have found the cache previously (and can see that it is no longer in place), at a minimum you should post a 'Needs Maintenance' log. A private message to the owner would be a nice courtesy as well. Quote Link to comment
+JKMonkey
log a Needs Maintenance log actually read this as "I'm Sorry I'm Jewish", dunno why Quote Link to comment
+Lil Devil
Following on, a few weeks after you've posted a Needs Maintenance log, if nothing has been done, then log a "Needs Archived" log. This will alert your local reviewer who will then take action. Quote Link to comment
