+mwellman
I'm Albertan and interested in them all There is a pinned topic at the top of the Canada Forum page that lists all the Canadian Geocaching groups/forums and their websites. Here are some groups/websites local to the prairies, note most are NOT on Facebook: Calgary and Edmonton have forum groups - http://forums.calgarycachers.net/ http://geocachingedmonton.com/forum/ SouthEast Alberta including Lethbridge and Medicine Hat are on Facebook - SEARCH South East Alberta Region Cache Hunters. Red Deer - my link for their webpage isn't working. Grande Prairie used to have a group - I can't find them now. Saskatchewan - www.saskcachers.com - www.skgeocaching.com and a Facebook group. Saskatoon - http://saskatoongeocachers.weebly.com/index.html and a Facebook group. Regina - http://www.reginageocachers.ca/ and a Facebook group. Manitoba - http://www.mbgeocaching.ca/ Hopefully this help! Edited February 3, 2013 by mwellman Quote Link to comment
+Ringrat
There's one for the Kootenays. "Kootenay Geocaching Community". It's mostly local stuff, often people looking for company on a caching adventure. We're keeping pretty active even at this time of year. Quote Link to comment

+Viajero Perdido
Facebook killed the Calgary Forum. I noticed a few posts there yesterday, explaining they were going to let the hosting expire, in part because much of the activity was happening on Facebook instead. Today the site is gone. Sad. There were some fine people there, and I won't see 'em on Facebook because I won't use Facebook. ~~~ I lurked you on the internet back in oh-oh two Lying awake intent at tuning in on you If I was noob it didn't stop you coming through Oh-a oh They took the headcount from the lure that it's all free Rewritten by the borg on new technology And now I understand the updates you can see Oh-a oh I met your children Oh-a oh What did you tell them? Facebook, it killed the local forum Facebook, it killed the local forum Updates came and broke your heart Oh-a-a-a oh And now we meet in an abandoned hotspot, oh We read the wayback and it seems so long ago And you remember the angst that used to go Oh-a oh You were the first one Oh-a oh You were the last one Facebook, it killed the geo-forum Facebook, it killed the geo-forum In my mind and in my phone We can't undo we've lost a home Oh-a-aho oh Oh-a-aho oh Facebook, it killed the local content Facebook, it killed the local content In my mind and in my phone We can't undo we've lost a home Updates came and broke your heart Put the blame on Zuckerberg Edited February 21, 2013 by Viajero Perdido Quote Link to comment

+Viajero Perdido
Wha... What just happened there? My head is spinning. Did I black out or something? Domain transference. It's unpleasantly like being drunk. What's so unpleasant about being drunk? Ask a glass of water. Welcome back! Quote Link to comment
