+T.D.M.22 Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 Some horror stories from the surveyors' forum http://surveyorconnect.com/index.php?mode=thread&id=187920 I used to volunteer at a car show and beer gardens every year. They were required to have snow fence up. Pounding the posts, we hit waterlines. Every year. Every year we moved the posts. We even got to the point where we had a metal detector, a sonar type device(for plastic pipe) had someone there to help us find the lines, and still managed to hit them. Quote
AZcachemeister Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 When probing, I like to try to determine the size of what I'm hitting before bringing out the hammer or shovel. 'Is that the top of a 12" concrete monument, or just another buried rock?' Quote
