simpjkee Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 No. I have 'watched' a cache that I will probably never get to though. Quote
DOCSpanky Posted January 22, 2013 Author Posted January 22, 2013 The highlighted cache for today was the flame under the waterfall. I don't know if I will ever make it there, but I WILL if for some odd reason ever find myself there. Quote
tweetiepy Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 ALL mine are loaded with the intent of doing it but not knowing if I will - most of the puzzles I'll never be able to solve but they've been loaded anyways. It's a surprise each time we end up finding something. We're weekend cachers so we can't get a ton done per day AND there aren't THAT many in our area that we could do 20 in a day without cleaning out our area Quote
cwgrizz Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 Not so much with Traditional caches, but "Puzzle/Unknown" caches that I have solved get loaded. I figure keeping them around just in case I ever get to the area is worth it after having solved them. Quote
hzoi Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 I don't keep cache listings on my GPSr. No way to know if they've been archived, need maintenance, changed coordinates, etc. I do have a bookmark list of caches I want to get, regardless of the likelihood of my ever getting there. I call it, "Wish list." Currently I have about 150 caches on there. I only take them off if I find 'em or they're archived. Quote
FiremanFIFL Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 My caching is rarely planned, I do quite a bit of random traveling so I have 3000 caches laded into my GPSr, I do update them occasionally to make sure they are still good. And I do have the phone app to check recent logs also Quote
DOCSpanky Posted January 23, 2013 Author Posted January 23, 2013 I'll figure all this out soon. How to set large numbers of caches at once for a particular area I may just happen to be in. Quote

Ambient_Skater Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 I do it all the time. I upload dozens of caches to my GPS when we go on a trip even though I know we might search for only 1 or 2. My family's terrible when it comes to tipping me off about where we'll stop, so most of the time the dozens of caches I upload aren't even remotely close to where we have a change to go geocaching. Pretty much like this even though I am the Dad in my family. Trips = potential chances for caching; load up hundreds of caches that may or may not be possible hunts. Quote
Heli Leo Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 My wife and I are planning a trip to Hawaii for our 50th anniversary and I have a hundred caches PQ'ed for the trip on two different islands. I doubt that we will have time to find them all but I will still load them on the GPSr just in case. Quote
