how doi finda travel bug

am about to travel south and would like to find a travel bug to take with me so how do i find out if there are any in my area

when you do a search for caches in your area, the results table column 'Info' has an icon in for travel bug or geo coins etc (not the wrench)

Also, when you've noted the caches near to you that have the travel bug or geocoin icon showing, it's then wise to do a bit more checking because you can't always be sure that the trackable is still there...

 

Go to the cache page inventory and click the link to the trackable - Look to see when it was placed in the cache. If it was fairly recent (i.e. within the last two or three weeks) and none of the logs since the drop-off mention taking a trackable, then it's likely to be there. On the other hand, if it was dropped off months ago and there have been many Found logs since then, the chances are greater that it's no longer in the cache - Somebody has probably taken it but not logged it out correctly.

Another thing is to be sure the Travel Bug you 'get' actually wants to go the direction you are planning to take it.

thanks for the replys yes i found one localy logged as bug left about 2 weeks ago but no mention in log that it had been taken out but no bug in cache and sorry but did forget to mention would only take it south if thats where it wants to go ill keep looking thanks again
